Turkistan Caravan

Turkistan Caravan is a project by Ravanbakhsh Yuzkhan and Timur Shagimuratov dedicated to sharing the rich Turkic, Mongol, and Iranian cultural traditions they grew up with.

What’s the point? Why does Turkistani culture matter? Put simply, all cultures have tremendous value for the world. Our project is to preserve and amplify the cultures of Turkistan as centuries of external pressure put them at risk of complete erasure.

Through multimedia content on Instagram and TikTok, Turkistan Caravan shares information on Turkistani culture, politics, and history. Recently, we have begun using X as well.

Additionally, Turkistan Caravan runs an Etsy shop with traditional and modern Central Asian clothing offerings to spread Turkic culture to those who might otherwise not access it, as well as to fund ongoing projects on steppe history, identity, and cultural preservation.
